Strengths:
  • Two years of experience with four types of cameras (film and photography)
  • Personal Resources - I own a Canon EOS 4000D DSLR
  • Two years experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro and Wix
  • I work efficiently in independent environments, gaining knowledge and new skills with confidence to assist me in my work
  • Reached Top 10 in WorldSkills UK Live with my teammates, which taught me time-management, communication, planning and production skills
  • Bronze and Silver awards in the Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA)
  • I often use my iPad and Apple Pencil to create magazines and other edits which have given me skills in graphic design
  • An achievement that I am proud of: even though I have constantly moved house and schools and was always behind on school work and in bottom sets, I passed all of my GCSE's and managed to get into the college course I was aiming for

Weaknesses:
  • Often, I get carried away with my own independent work
  • I am not confident in public speaking, and can be shy when first introduced to new people
  • I need to get better at editing

Opportunities:
  • University will offer experience and job opportunities
  • Springboard.tv offer work experience and equipment for me to use for free

Threats:

  • My most current obstacle is getting into the University that I want to get into (Norwich University of Arts)

By 18/12/2019, I will write about all of the specialisms I have picked, describing what the career is about and what it requires of me. This target is measurable as it requires me to write at least 6 paragraphs on my Research page, it is also achievable as I have over 5 days to write these paragraphs - each paragraph should be around 10 sentences long, which should take about 10 minutes for each.

  • I have completed this target in my research page. Completing this task meant that I can see potential future jobs that I am interested in as well as the income and skills that I need to be successful in them.

By 06/02/2020, I will complete all outstanding work that needs completing in my research page. This task is achievable as most of the tasks have been completed or are at a starting stage, it is likely to take 3-4 hours at most which is achievable and I can set aside this time whilst at college or at home.

  • I have completed this task and there is no longer anything that needs to be completed in my research page. My target was very achievable and realistic.

By 14/02/2020, I will have a question for my Academic Essay. This is achievable and will not take long but it is something that I will have to think about a lot and consider my best option.

  • I have completed this in preparation for my next project in my Unit 12

How do I feel about my future?
I feel confident that I am able to achieve my aspirations and be good at the job that I am tailoring my skills to. I think that if I am able to achieve my goal then I will be in a good place with a job that I like. However, I fear that other aspects of life might prevent me from getting there, whether that is due to the lack of jobs available and/or other family issues. Something that I am not very good at is interviews and speaking in front of large groups of people.

How could I connect?
I could visit my mum more often as I hadn't seen her for an entire year due to college and work. I would like to see and talk to her more as well as seeing my younger siblings.
I can share a journey with multiple people, I can speak to my mum on our hour journey to her house so that she can have a distraction from the younger kids. I can also speak to people on my public bus on my way to college.

How could I be active?
At least once a week I can take part in my Step Sisters' rugby training sessions as I am in their age group which means that they will have a better partner to train with. I am also on my feet the whole time at work and I walk to and from my job as it is in my village.

How can I take notice?
Listen to people more and hear what they have to say, I will have a set schedule for when to do chores like cleaning my room.

What can I do to improve my learning?
Speaking to new people allows me to learn new things about people which could make me feel better. Reading and doing puzzles improve brain skills and knowledge.

How can I give to others?
I can give others my time and my kindness to make them happy.

Worry Bus
Everyone has concerns on different levels. The worry bus is something that everyone has, we have no control over the past. You want to get on it because that's what is easier, but don't.
We worry about the present and the future too. It can be easily avoided. In the present, you can change the future.

Contacts

  • Luke Robinson (sisters fiancĂ©), I do photography of his watches which he then promotes and sells to others online. He pays me for this job (£25-£30 per watch, including the edited background)
  • Springboard.tv

After learning more about my wellbeing, I have tried to talk to people more - like my family and friends - as well as being kind and taking notice (listening to people and their stories and feelings).
Currently, I could improve my wellbeing by stepping away from my computer a little more - this can be to just stretch my legs, get something to drink, and look at something at least 20 feet away (the 20-20-20 rule). This will help improve my focus as I won't be just sat staring at a computer screen and getting distracted to entertain myself.
